Nous avons fait une superbe découverte en allant à Aix en Provence, un restaurant Vietnamien qui nous fait réellement voyager en Asie. Ce restaurant est Tonkin Food, restaurant Vietnamien et ils ont un deuxième restaurant à quelques mètres de celui là le Kyoto, restaurant Japonais.
Pour résumé un peu l’histoire, notre mère est née à Saigon au Vietnam. Elle nous a transmis son goût pour les voyages ainsi que le goût pour la nourriture asiatique. Notre mère cherchait depuis des années un plat qu’elle avait mangé là-bas, au Vietnam, elle n’avait jamais pu remanger jusqu’à la découverte de ce restaurant. Le meilleur restaurant, je pense de la région PACA. On y retrouve tous les plats typiques que l’on souhaite de l’Asie : on peut voyager du Japon au Vietnam, et c’est un vrai régal. Le Tonkin restaurant asiatique est vraiment pas cher et en plus ils ont une épicerie pour faire des provisions, que demander de plus ? 😉
Connaissez-vous peut-être ce restaurant ? aimez-vous la nourriture asiatique ? Nous vous le conseillons vivement si vous venez à Aix-en-Provence !! Super accueil, restaurant familial, ils sont hyper dynamique, avec proposition de repas sur place ou à emporter. Ce qui est fabuleux, c’est de les voir cuisiner avec une telle passion :-).

Nice! I should’ve gone to this resto when I was Aix en Provence. While I loved French food, there came a time my taste buds longed for something more familiar. I ended up having a burger. 🙂

My favorite moment was getting a true curry as americans come to expect with coconut milk, and it was a green curry too from a Vietnamese heritage’s storefront in my metro! Ooo ooo. While I had to wait 15 years to live a short spell where my father was just prior to me being here …I lived at a southern army based he trained to serve in the vietnam conflict… Talk about ghosts! But I’m telling you the memories of travels! 🙂
